teeny tiny flakes but zillions

Must have taken you ages to count them then?

Temps now.

There still falling as the colder air sweeps south.

DPs will also start to fall but could be on the marginal side.

Guest bjaykent

your radar that you linked and the raintoday radar are showing different radar echoes!! which one is right??

Good question! go for the one showing more snow! looks like one of those days where you just look out the window and watch to see what others are getting on heresmile.png

Fairly persistent light snow here now just about showing some interest in settling on cars but ground very wet.

Getting close to a couple of inches of snowfall now in East Hertfordshire.

However I just want it to warm up now, never been a fan of snow in late March as not good if you are a gardener :-(

Brentwood, Essex, has 1-2cm, very very fine powder-dust snow, but although settling it's pretty wet underfoot.

Fingers firmly crossed for trains to E.Kent coast tomorrow morning being all fine!! I'm relying on what you guys told me about marginal temps, plus the high-speed line being rarely affected... :)

Wow,came home from shift at 2.15am this morning and it was 3.1 degrees and raining steadily.Work up at 8am and just thought i would have a sneeky look out of the window more in hope than expectation and blow me snow coming down hard here(8 on Murr scale) and everything covered.Think Met Office got this wrong as they were pretty clear in saying rain/sleet for my area last night.Just seen BBC News 24 and looks like snow all day although getting lighter as day progresses. To be fair to Met Office snow always difficult to predict and it obviousily shifted another 25 miles further South than predicted so it just shows that a little shift here and there can make all the difference!!

Temp now 0.6 degrees

Disappointing event here, roads and pavements were going white, now its just a grey slush. Snow is still falling but its not really settling.

I thought i was in the sweet spot, 5-10cm? Will be lucky to get 1cm.....

Just watched BBC News Channel weather forecast. Graphics seem to have been updated showing snow over quite large areas of the SE, less so towards coastal EA. Still calling a mixture of snow/rain/sleet to the south of the area, but all precipitation was shown to turn lighter and patchy as the day goes on. Graphics showing it much drier tomorrow now.

Still snowing in Reigate, not quite so heavy as earlier, but still settling on most areas though it is no longer settling on the road. Temperature has settled at +0.2c - been getting that reading for the last hour or so.

Been snowing lightly in SE25 since 7am when I got up, settling only on grass/soil and roofs. Now seems to be getting heavier with bigger flakes.

ECM, HIRLAM and UKMO suggesting the snow will ease and drift north this afternoon, tending to dry up south of the Thames.
