Evening all

 

Very long day eased by a few glasses of vino collapso tonight.  Not long after posting my 6:20 a.m. e-mail this morning we discovered that my wife's car had been badly keyed last night.  So, added to the dentist and the journey and the stupidly long meetings today this didn't do much to improve my humour.  Never mind, it's only metal after all (that sound you can hear is the sound of my teeth being ground together and bank accounts being emptied to pay for the repairs.....)

 

It's a beautiful cold night here, partly clear skies, am thinking of sneaking in to the youngest's bedroom and relocating his telescope to the garden and doing a bit of planet spotting.   Alternative plan - hot chocolate and a map of the night sky, and stay indoors.....

Good morning all.

 

The official Met Office weather station just down the road from me at Raf Northolt  was reporting 3.9c an hour ago. The temperature has dropped sharply since then and I now have a covering of ice on my car roof. Thumbs up for a sunny day ahead though

Morning all, blanket of thin low cloud here this morning which looks to have saved my location from frost with lowest temp around 3c earlier in the night and now around 6C. Just need the sun to break through and it should be another glorious day.

Hi Jan, just cut my grass, third time in a week! put weed & feed down about four weeks ago and even just the dew in the mornings seems to be making it grow along with some warm sunshine of course. Ah lovely smell of freshly cut grass.

 

 

All tidy for another few days, sorry Great Plum, hope you get it fixed soon!

Seems like a continuation of the very dry, sunny and quite warm weather, with high pressure still the dominant feature.

 

GFS still has a dry BH weekend with some cloud, but quite a lot of sunshine. There might be a bit of rain in the West of our region later on Monday, but nothing looking like it's going to spoil things at the moment.

Managed to get out of the office for half an hour today and went for a walk along the towpath.  All looking very Spring-like now, plenty of new life emerging:
