Morning all!

A welcome return to sunny conditions here in Eastbourne and it looks like the first BBQ of the year will be under-way tomorrow! Going to get busy making some burgers and some of my 'special' BBQ sauce to add to some lovely meat from the local butchers.

GFS is hinting at a smidgen of rain in some parts of our region tomorrow late afternoon:

and maybe again on Monday:

But I wouldn't let that spoil any 'al-fresco' plans you have!!

Morning!

Another cracking start to the day here.

I just had toast and coffee in the garden and the temp feels incredible even though officially it is only 11.2°

While I was out there I was thinking, if we could just have a couple of these type spells every month thru the Summer, I'm sure we'd all be happy, well I would be anyway biggrin.png

Have we got rid of the nightime frosts yet? I want to put some plants in.

Sorry to hear your sad news too Jax x

My hunch is that they're now done. Based on that there shouldn't be any more for the next few nights and then it getting late for ground frosts after mid May... Don't hold me to it though.unsure.png

So sorry for your loss Jax. Animals are a special gift in our hearts for sure xx

Roll on 5pm, i have an awesome weekend planned, ending in a big family BBQ. Serious business for us, the marinades are already doing their work for Monday!

The Sun just disappeared from view for the first time since early Tuesday pm (before someone says it, not including night-time of course fool.gif ).

The cloud is slowly building from the north and west as forecast but still feels fantastic out there.

Temp has just managed to match yesterday's high here of 19.3°.

Afternoon gang

+19.1c, gin-clear blue skies, light breeze, leaves unfurling on trees, stretching out into the warmth.    Apart from that, it's horrible!

So it looks like some of us may pass the magic 20°C  tomorrow, Sunday.or Monday. I'll go for Gravesend or Heathrow on Monday early afternoon - any advances on that?

Afternoon all from sunny Croydon.

Looks like being a lovely weekend, hope it can last until Wednesday, my next day off,  I really need to get out and cut the grass then.

Looks like we might just about stay dry until then!

Hope you all have a great weekend and B/H.

Regards,

Tom.  hi.gif

I'm still in with a chance today Coast, currently 19.6° but we are now only having sunny intervals, so possibly just out of reach.

Sunday may just crack it in central London:

But Monday midday keeps coming up as the sweet spot and several places could be in with a shout:

Hello Coast, it's 19.6c in Reigate just now (up from 19.1c when I last posted about 15 mins ago) - data from RGS weather station, which is a proper one, as opposed to my little amateur effort!

My closest official station is Wittering which is about 6 miles north and slightly west of me, at 1o'clock it was only showing 15.9°!

I think I trust my little amateur effort more than that, it has been absolutely glorious here and definitely warmer than that.

I have also just checked the infamous 'Peterborough weather watch' and they are currently showing 19.7°, I think that is definitely closer to the truth.

But hey, what do i know...

Its a bit breezier here today with some cloud drifting in but still mostly sunny and 18.5c. Im happy with that.

Heres a couple of photo's from yesterday. Ok its not quite Swan Lake.......Its Ruislip Lido actually but hey. It has an artificial beach, a pub/carvery and a miniature railway. Not bad for the suburbs of North West London.

It's now 20.8c here - nearly at the magical 21c point.  Will it get there?  Probably not now, still it looks like it should be a lovely early evening  at the cricket club for youth practice (and adult beer practice - not that I need much practice....)

Brighton tomorrow for a couple of nights, shame it's not going to be like this tomorrow but Sunday could be quite nice and Monday looks like it might deliver.

Enjoy the weekend all
