Well after such a rank morning, the sun is now coming out and it feels very pleasant out there indeed.

Move along folks, nothing to see here.

It's been a mixed day here for sure. Steady rain this morning followed by a spell of heavy rain around midday and then some reasonable sunny spells this afternoon. 12.8c currently.

But just hard facts please - no hearsay, supposition, possibles, maybes or whispers. Minutes from the meeting would be great!! Posted Image

Oddly, it feels positively spring-like in my bit of west London now the Sun's out.

Yep, the temperature has crept up to 14.3c and with very little breeze and the late afternoon and evening sunshine it is a big improvement on conditions earlier. I'm not sure I would go so far as to say spring like though !

Hello allPosted Image  Just returned from a monsoon fest in Belgium...one dry day for sighseeing and the rest of the time spent wringing the rain water out of sodden holiday clothes!Posted Image  But had a great time and good to see my German friends againPosted Image

So, seems that a return home sees yet more rain....Posted Image

Glad you had a nice time in Belgium...you could have brought chocolate back with you instead of rain though !

Actually it cleared up quite nicely here this afternoon, but feeling rather nippy here as the evening approaches - think its heating on, close the curtains and snuggle up on the sofa time :-)

I just don't think people should be reading anything into what could be just another planning meeting about budgets and staffing etc etc just yet. Unless you can give us more precise details that say otherwise? Posted Image

Nail on head. Please leave the baseless and unfounded scaremongering to the likes of that muppet Nathan Rao and the daily excess.

Just to inform you that Croydon Council are prepared with full salt stocks with gritters primed and ready. An emergency meeting with the councils emergency planning team is being co-ordinated to discuss potential severe/adverse conditions.

Hi Coast, This emergency meeting is a lot different to the other years.

Hows you yam, No disrespect but to post comments like those,You really need to be a lot more specific,It was only 4 days ago the Express started the usual scare mongering. Yes I know there are some stating Winter of 1947 and i believe 1963 combined, But come on.Don't light the fuse and run mate.
