Hi JP with the Pub run's new found respect last night, it will no doubt do something completely different tonightPosted Image  and I see from the other thread, not many are convinced by the ECM Op run so will look forward to your report on the ensembles later.

Just to say JP I do enjoy your posts in the Volcanic Activity Thread and the Earthquake Activity Thread - you clearly dedicate a lot of time to these too.Posted Image

hi isabelle

hope your well

its very tricky to say at present

it looks possible that tues night and wednesday could produce but without

the correct info re dew points etc and the variable model output  i would say

it might go up to monday night to call this

i will do my fax updates overnight as normal though

i do play with the models with ramps etc but try to do the fax more seriously Posted Image

i will say that after tuesday it will get a lot colder than now

sorry not more specific but will be as soon as i canPosted Image

hi tom

the models after 144 are struggling

Just spent half an hour in the Model thread...............good grief, some people really need to get out more!!  Thought I'd pop in here for a bit of serenity (until JP throw's the rampometer into overdrive).  The outlook is still looking hopeful, but not nailed on, for a nice early cold spell.

One of the funniest things I've read in ages.  My personal favorite part was:

James Madden, forecaster for Exacta Weather, said Britain is braced for “copious†snowfall this winter with extreme cold expected to last into the spring.

He added that Britain faces “an incomparable scenario to anything we have experienced in modern timesâ€.

I really don't know how the Express keep getting away with it, it's becoming a weekly occurrence when they print this type of cr*p.  Ridiculous but it might calm some nerves on the Mod thread!!

Not because 'it snowed', but because I want to see the first fall in my area !

By far the best ensemble run I've seen this season.

Shame it's not a consistent signal though.
