ECM mean, should cheer people up 

By far the best ensemble run I've seen this season.

Shame it's not a consistent signal though.

Not sure I agree there, that signal for a high to the north with undercuts has been the theme for the last couple of days, from what I've noticed anyway. Only problem seems to be, there's very little cold in the east to tap into at the min. Hopefully that changes.

Thanks Lottie, as I said bit of a bodge job last Winter and cant remember if there was an outright winner or dead-heat, it certainly involved you and snowbob. Anyway here's Peter Gabriel with this Winters Snow Cup Draw.

To dark to see what's the weather like this morning, certainly up for the snow depth cup again this year, hopefully with a Thames streamer and kentimetres plus nearly mown lawn dirty Dartford should walk it, would love the cricket match as well, well in my mind at least, think my long run up might be hampered by snow drifts or dodgy knee / shoulders, etc :-). Funny we every year discussed a game on Boxing Day but it never happened, oh well one day eh.

Adruuzzi spur, I think the words you where looking for for to describe my cricket was an old pro, certainly was called that on many occasions, think they where being nice :-). Funny enough we have a 50th birthday party to go to next Saturday, and the theme is 60/70's and her indoors and me went to try our costumes on yesterday and the memories came flooding back the wife in her multicoloured mini skirt and gold boots, me in my multi coloured flowered shirt and red flared trousers, even the wig I bought was the same length I used to bowl at my fastest in, those where the days, hair, beer, minis, mini skirts, long hot summers, all night parties, friendly young ladies, great mates, seven pints tins of bitters, burning the lettuce of the salad before a game. Those where the days, my friend, greatest music ever played, flared cricket trousers, oh yea man, it was a great era to live and breath in, but where did it all go, I got up this morning a looked around the bedroom, and notice my wig on the side, not only where did all those glorious memories go, but where did my hair go :-) along with a few teeth, and why did gravity take such a nasty revenge on the wife's chest and my gut.

Sadly when I removed the shirt all those wonderful days, just faded away, those long dead friends are tears of the past, just images on an old photo, even the shields of long past leagues won on the battlefields of those green and pleasant fields, surrounded by hops have broken over the years, and found their ways to the great dustbin in the sky, not normally a sad person but I must admit to having a tear in my eye when I walked out the shop, going to be funny next weekend because the music of the late 60's early 70's alway nudges the old memory cells, and dressing up like a hippy certainly did, but I think it was seeing the misses dressed up that really hit the spot. It was just like being transported back to Barry's and Anne's house all those years ago, when a young spotty youth had his first pint and kiss (not with the wife).

Sorry about being of topic and no doubt boring everyone.

Thought I better edit this to include something about the weather, its dark, grey and dreary in Dartford today, and the weather ain't that good either :-)

I am looking forward to the snow cup.  I got surprising far last year (maybe even to the Blackpool stage - forgive the Strictly analogy) given my lofty 14m a.s.l and being on the edge of the London heat sink. Dont you just love an under dog ?

Looks like we will be in the warm sector in that low, I don't mind that at this time of year though, getting the cold into Europe for later in the year is the important thing and that seems to be happening. fingers crossed that it's still slightly wrong and it slides down in a way where it would give more snow to some. Wasn't expecting anything right down here anyway, so to get some would be a nice surprise.

Grey here this morning at Sandbanks; yesterday morning's blue sky and sunshine quickly became overcome by cloud, and the whole journey from s/w London to Poole had us chasing the bright ribbon of sky on the horizon which we never quite reached!

 

Was lovely to wake up to the sound of the seagulls this morning and know I actually am by the sea - a cruel trick often played on me by the suburban seagulls of Surbiton. Might brave the MDT and if it breaks my mood at least I can walk off the cobwebs on the wild and woolly beach.
