Temperature here is dropping like a stone! 0.4c now

Be surprised if we don't see an air frost here tonight! :D

Will be dicey tomorrow morning, with all this fog around ice is going to stick to everything! Can already see clumps of it forming on the colder surfaces outside!

Very foggy morning and only just above freezing; glad husband drove to Bournemouth last night and not this morning, although he says it was foggy from SW London to Winchester down the M3, but not this thick and widespread.

Morning regionaires.

Quite thick fog through Sussex on the way home last night, a little reminiscent of those pictures of the smog in 1950's London.

A nice frost to start this morning (not that pesky frozen dew of yesterday) and the fog has thinned a little to the South, but still quite thick to the North of the County. Temps ranging widely again from -1°C in Eastbourne dropping to -2°C in rural places but a few hundred meters on and it's +5°C depending on topography.

If you have to travel by car this morning give yourself a few extra minutes to defrost the windscreen and take a slightly slower journey through any of this pea soup!

Foggy, but not quite as bad as last night. Cold though and the temp has steadily been dropping since 4am, now -0.7'C in my garden. Forecasts still saying it should be 5'C at the moment

UK weather: Heavy fog delays flights and ferry services across South East England

Visibility has dropped to less than 50 metres in some places, with cancellations at Heathrow Airport and delays to Isle of Wight ferry services

Heavy fog has descended over much of south east England this morning, leading to flight delays and cancellations. The Met Office has warned of travel disruption this morning, with visibility expected to drop to lower than 50 metres in places. British Airways said there had already been cancellations and delays at Heathrow Airport, and urged customers to check its website for updates throughout the morning.

A spokeswoman for Heathrow Airport confirmed that 40 incoming and outgoing flights had been cancelled this morning, and others had been delayed. Wightlink Ferries, which operates routes between Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, has also reported delays. Lara Gunn, a forecaster at MeteoGroup, said: "A dense fog is hanging over the South East and up towards the Midlands and is expected to linger throughout the morning. "Visibility will be quite poor in some areas and so travellers should take caution."

Really foggy when i left home at 6, clearing now im in London....

Looks like there will be some changes next week. Im specifically concerned about Tuesday as it looks like a low will be heading our way. I seriously hope that its not bad as im meant to be flying off on Holiday from Luton on Tuesday morning.....If this affects my first holiday in blooming years, i will not be best pleased....(Praying) Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image
