Moderate rain has resumed, wondered why it was so noisy and see there's a hole in our guttering.

Hammering down here with thunder and lightning which I wasn't expecting to wake up to! Some close strikes now with loud thunder! Love it!

No wind here at all.

The low is right over you thats why, it will pick up during this afternoon, nothing special though!

Thunder recently, the one rumble, still heavy showers at times, a cool 14c, light breeze, 21mm since it started yesterday evening.

18.1 mm here up to 0800 g.m.t but more than half of that fell in heavy showers yesterday evening and overnight.

Heavy rain earlier this morning but it's now eased to light rain accompanied by thick hill fog.

Yuck back from a few days of 30c in sunny Alicante to a familiar modern August day, heavy rain, gusty winds and only 12.9c!

The low looks further south to me than forecast. If so I would put a big doubt on thundery chances for some in here.

Have had 20mm of rain from the system so far abide it started properly as 9am: the vast majority between 955am and 1040am.

This is added to 25 mm on Friday .
