James Madden sticking his hat on the Volcano now then... that and sun spots and the state of the seaweed hanging from his shed means its an open and shut case

Those are really quite poor with temperatures on the way up in December rather than down!

Not unusual to see  snow forecast for the Atlas Mountains in December,  even from the GFS :)

Yes how many thousands of metres high are they?

Hands up guys! My geographical ignorance! I didn't realise that Morocco had a decent mountain range in the Atlas Mountains. Wikipedia says:

"The highest peak is Toubkal, with an elevation of 4,165 metres (13,665 ft) in southwestern Morocco. The Atlas ranges separate the Mediterranean and Atlantic coastlines from the Sahara Desert".

And I thought GFS was going off on one. So I guess living here in Suffolk at the mighty height of 20m above sea level I should probably accept that that Morocco will get snow before me!

I'm wondering who the biggest 'seasonal' rampers on this site are at the moment.

This pair?

Today's word for the swear filter is 'potential'. Or in particular the one chart posts accompanied by, "this chart shows potential". Quite meaningless.

As in posting continuous  FI mild carts showing the Atlantic bulldozing it's way through the UK like some did a week or so ago.

the fickless files continue.... so when mild is shown in fi, theres a chorus of 'ignore it its in fi', but this morning theres cold in fi, and its being heralded as the coming of winter!

all i see is pretty normal, average, rather dry and often gloomy weather in the models for the next week-ten days or so.

I never ignore any charts as the outcome of either is just as possible.

My kind? Unbiased? . Youll find that i try to put preferences aside, ill comment on what the models show and not cherry pick to suit an agenda. Ramping is a waste of time, cherry picking charts is largelya waste of time, viewing the overall picture and working out whats most likely to happen based on what the models show is the sensible way to go. And currently the models look distinctly averageand rather dry. Yes theres a possibility of cold in fi, but only this momorning there was a huge bartlett showing mild. Did i or anyone ramp that up? No.
