We had a heavy shower. However what concerns me is the supposed organised snow is not making headway eastwards. There are showers and it might end up being showers rather than continual snowfall. At least it's lying here mind you.

According to the netweather radar we should be smothered in snow in Cumbie.....nope

From a snowless Glasgow to a slushy Gourock.. More like snow up here on the hill :) here is for more tonight

Falling white lines

Rain washed away the night

Hail replaced the dawn chorus

A sugar coated view left

A gust of cold air

The snow falls in lines

Across the lens

A change of view

As the cars line up

Through the rush hour slush

Hoping the snow falls

A little hour more

In the chance

Of a snowman

Born today a winters day

Was a snow shower about 18.15. Turned some paths white. Temp 0.9/-1.0. In the last 15 minutes the temp has went down by 0.3c and the dew point has went up 0.8c

Wee shower earlier left a dusting on all surfaces. Looks like another one inbound Edinburgh, perhaps might get side swiped here but doubting it. 0.9C

Just had a nice snow shower but it's gone off again  :nonono:

Looking at the radar the "organised" band is missing us completely. Would rather have had lots of lovely snow tonight than snowy chaos in the morning trying to get to school and work, but beggars can't be choosers (and I might get neither!)

Fingers crossed it all changes but the organised band for the southern part of the orange warning area this evening looks to be a bust.

Anyone in the amber warning area seen any decent snowfall? All the action seems to be further north..

Snowing in Edinburgh, not quite heavy enough to settle here. Looks like the band may be getting its act together over the next hour but at the moment it's not really doing much.

A proper covering in one prolonged shower and that's it so far not even massively measurable. But a good white coat.

Heavy snow on and off here, about 10cm here, about 5cm even down at Clachnaharry by the sea, but I believe that the higher parts of the Inverness area such as Moy and Tomatin are nearer to 20cm?

On closer inspection the precip over (roughly) Argyll and the north of the Firth of Clyde does look as if it's organising itself into something. Still plenty of time for me to be eating humble pie and a lot of peeps to be getting snow on, and to the south of, the Clyde-Forth isthmus.

Aye pretty much Rab, just over 18cm here now. Had an absolute pasting in the last hour, blizzard conditions and drifts appearing. Wouldn't be surprised with local road closures come morning
