Snow back on here for last 15 minutes or so, lying too but still not covering grass. Radar looking a lot more promising though  :) . Hope everyone who wants it gets some of the white stuff.

Showers here this evening have been disappointingly light and haven't added anything to the existing cover. Hopefully will get a bit more potent later?

Nothing here yet this evening aside from the odd 5 minute shower.

Managed to get out in the hour of sunshine in between bands around midday.  East Lomond looked wonderful!

Then got caught in a mammoth blizzard.  Here it is approaching from the west above the Lomond Hills:

It's been a good day.  If tonight delivers I may have to dust down the snowshoes tomorrow :)

Just look at it, clumps of the stuff incoming. No need to be depressed folks!

I'll get depressed if it piles up behind the Ochils!   Then you'll know where you can put your new avatar! :D

Yep, nothing to add to the 3-4 inches here (NW Dundee). All the snow we have fell before the Met Office put up the amber warning for snow this evening and tomorrow morning.

It's fairly coming down now in Bo'ness, laying on top of the dusting that's still here from 9am.

As Mrs L described earlier - in the car driving home along the m-8, just when you get to Livingston you get a pasting.

Perfect.

V6 radar shows a nice queue of heavy showers drifting in, as per Ross comment above easily the heaviest snow of the evening, skies have a great orange glow, lamp posts both looking fine. Zoom in on amber warned area below.

Satellite shows even more 'blobs' incoming and also on the far left the low undergoing RACY and about to get a steroidal shot of stratospheric air.

Has just about stopped here but a decent wee covering - hopefully the base for a bit more through the night!  Snowing in Glasgow city centre and all the way out the motorway - not really lying in Glasgow and the lowest bits of the motorway though.

Just level the Cairngorms and we'll be fine. Not a flake here and none likely either. At least it's not raining...yet!

Snow has been non-stop from the showers today, been really intense at times.

Here are a few pics taken a few hours ago.
