Powdery flakes of snow falling now at -0.5c  and settling. Looks as though we will be white in the morning.Roads will interesting if this keeps up. Lots of showers on the radar. From mild to snow in under 8 hours some dramatic swings going on today.

Still hanging around 4 C here with rain

Ok, down a degree in 20 mins, that's more like it.

Couple of showers battered through and dropped 0.5 C after each.

Evening folks,

Just had a wee excited look out the window at the lampost - and saw the moon and lots of stars and nothing else ( well, the hedges were fair blowing about).

Here's hoping for the next few days that SOMETHING can get passed the snaw shield.

Similar here, stars and moon out and Aberdeen snow shield seems to have been upgraded to extend further West to cover Kemnay. Loads of showers of one sort or another passing both to the north and south on the radar but ground here is bone dry. Might as well sleep in hope of something tomorrow.

Back to rain here. Think I will call it a night and then see what next few days brings.

Heavy sleet shower here, temperature rapidly down to 2.9C (DP 0.8C) from 3.7C with another hefty looking shower incoming.

Just been woken up by the heaviest hail I have ever seen !! Was like someone throwing stones against the window ! Everything white outside I think I prefer snow :)

Frost of the month

The sound of snow

Tapping at the window

Grounded all the planes

No cars move

In suburban lanes

Huddled around the candle

Wifi and TV out

Only each other

For company tonight

The snow eases

The frost descends

And we awake to a painted landscape

A thousand voices in cheer

As we hold our loved ones dear

A chilly, damp start. It looks like it's been a wet few hours in the early morning here judging by the puddle in the back garden, currently 1.3ºC with a few sparkles of ice and frost forming.

Radar action is all out north and west. Fingers crossed for everyone for the next 72 hours :D
