Hideously cloudy yesterday. Low of 0.1°C high of 6.1°C

Sunny at the moment. Low of -0.5°C high so far, 7.3°C

Not sure I'll be on much, such a depressing outlook.

Hi all just read this in the strat thread

Only copied the last paragraph but I think it says it all

Anyway here's to more 'learning curves' next winter and I wish everyone the very best for the rest of the year and look forward to re-appearing on the strat thread come October and November, as from the strat point of view it's all over bar the 'shouting' now really given latest guidance through the rest of February.

Roll on spring, glorious day out there today and feeling fairly warm in the sunshine

What a perfect winters day we had here, foggy most of the morning, freezing fog going by the frost on the cars early this morning and crystal clear blue skies all afternoon. This is without a doubt my 2nd most favourite type of weather in winter.

Depending how you look at it, I'm not sure the strat thread was really on it, let alone "it's all over...". Of course it depends how you view it, as I've read the thread for all the years it's been going, and it still strikes me as one part of the puzzle and not the total forecast solution. It's improving but still has many variables to cross, to count itself up there with the big boys. Great for learning, so on to next year, this year has certainly almost sent to an early grave...

Beautiful start to the day. Thick fog and frost (freezing fog) with a temperature of still -1.9C at 9am. Sun has poked through since then so supposing it stays sunny we should get 6-7C later. Second best winter weather in my opinion.

Yet another cold, frosty foggy morning, oh and very slippery under foot out there!

Thought this was supposed to be a cloudy high, got clear blue skies again once the sun got to work on the freezing fog of earlier.

A very cold foggy start to the day, glorious sunshine now though, not having been outside for a couple of hours i would imagine its warming up nicely in the sun.
