The precipitation peps up, then dissipates and then peps up again in roughly the same line. It was to the south of Aylesbury early morning, then it was to the north over Milton Keynes mid morning and now it's starting up again with a direct hit. Finally. lol. Why is this?

It's called the "the weather gods don't give a onions about us wanting snow" phenomenon. :wallbash:  Joking aside, I don't know, perhaps it is down to mixing of the boundary layers within the precipitation.

Not a bad morning, flickers of sunshine. Currently 5.1°C after a low of 0.5°C

I think they do, have a feeling it's a METO feed.

Makes it hard for one to know just how dire the snow situation is!

Ah - it's now updated.. almost wish it hadn't after all. :D

Mine's stuck on 12.00, not that anything interesting is going to get this far.....

Edit to add that it's now gone back to 11.45 and there is nothing showing at all!

Anyone having radar issues? Mine is stuck on 11:25.

Mine is too, thought it was just mine!

Yeah, rain today is stuck on 11.15!

Stuck at midday for me. I'll let you know what the future is like!

There's definitely something not right with it today. It randomly loaded yesterday's 12.05 image before reverting back to today's 12.10. :unknw:

I think it's been at the Special Brew.

It's not a real radar anyway, just a kid with three coloured crayons and a map of the UK.

There's some of those in the MOD thread. :whistling:

Whiteout here.

Sweet! Enjoy. I'm sat in no mans land but the temps are creeping up now here so probably just as well.

Anyone know of a decent current dew point map based on obs rather than forecast?

Only messing mate. Last whiteout was years ago in Cardiff.... Have you had much snow this winter?

Oh ha ha! Do'h :D  With the radar confusion I was none the wiser!

Had 3.5 cm's from a short spell on Tuesday morning before it melted, which is more than some poor folk have had all winter put together so mustn't grumble. :)

I don't know of any detailed official observations, showing dew points. But, you can have a look at amateur ones around your area.
