Seems the same to the east of our area is certainly less marginal than was thought. Another day of snow falling for this area. They are having a good week!

Ok, this is rubbish. PPN reaches here... It's sleet! It can't make up it's mind whether it wants to rain or snow.

Snowing here in Newbury over past 15 minutes or so, not that heavily and with an element of sleet about it so it is making all surfaces damp. On the edge of the main event which is now finally transferring Westwards. Good luck to folk in that region, but I personally wouldn't get over-excited about it all due to marginality factors striking once again. Having said that, I can now claim 7 snow days from this Winter at home, with one day of snow lying.

Have fun.

That was the forecast..rain, sleet maybe snow. Readily turning to rain on back edge now on radar.

I had a high of 5.9 yesterday, wonder if that will be beaten. Day time temps have risen all week.

I don't understand how it can be sleet here! Birmingham who are further North and West and should be in the warmer 850's are reporting light snow. Same for Nottingham. Reading which is just down the road is reporting snow and a work collegue in Didcot says its snowing there too. Didcot is only 13 miles away!

My house is around 100m ASL, higher than my place of work! Someone must have installed some hairdryers above mt house last night and pointed them towards the sky!

I've up voted all the posts since mine with the word snizzle, snow or flurries contained within them because whatever the forecast was, I'm pleased to see some folk getting some action. Yes, desperate we may be but the clock is ticking and I'll take whatever Mother Nature can give us even if it is just a passing snowflake or two.

AT 1.7c, DP 0.6c now, so sleet to rain all the way now I'd imagine for me at least. MARGINAL!  :aggressive:

Snowed from 7am here up until recently, mostly moderate with the odd heavy burst. Total accumulation... 0.0cm's. :bad:

I suspect had it started maybe an hour prior, then it may have had a head start in laying, but alas it was just a little too marginal by then.

Stopped now... i'm almost tempted to go and towel off the grass just in case.

Clouding up here, expecting bit of rain or sleet shortly.

Been snowing here since 9am. On/off light to moderate flakes. Nothing settled though. Temp now 2.9c, so next batch will be sleet/rain I would of thought.
