Had a really heavy shower here half an hour or so ago. Not entirely sure what it was....no I haven't entirely lost the plot nor completed my decline into senility, honest....it wasn't rain, it was white, but not hail, certainly wasn't snow and if it was sleet, well it was the biggest, fattest sleet I've ever seen. Followed by a fabulous rainbow too.

 

Roll on more high pressure, hopefully next week.

Wet snow? Soft hail? Or just the biggest, fattest sleet you have ever seen lol !

We have a medium sized wraparound developing nicely south of bideford. Check the radar signature

I've just noticed that little beauty on the radar! I thought we were only getting one dolloping of rain today not 2 bands ...

I've just had a sharp shower with hail in. 45mm/hr rate. 7.3mm today. A welcomed bit of rain some cracking gusts of wind, rainbows and lovely cloudscapes. What's not to love? :)

Huge area of heavy ppn pivoting around the South coast. Why couldn't we have had some of this when it was *cold*?!

Only briefly felt mild today, much colder feel later in the day as a blustery shower including some wet hail blew through around 6pm. Looking forward to a drier weekend.

Yesterday turned very pleasant after lunch time with good sunny spells and a real Springlike feel for a few hours until the cloud rolled in on an Easterly breeze.

 

A gloomy morning and rather wet so it must have rained at some stage, hopefully it will clear up again before tomorrow's terribly timed rain. I generally work outside from around 07.00 - 14.00 and currently that is virtually the exact timing of the band slowly moving West to East! Still, it hasn't rained much this year and probably then won't do for the rest of the week.

Gloomy again today, though not particularly cold at nearly 7C. Tomorrow looks positively vile but at least Tuesday and Wednesday look like fresh sunny days.

Who nicked my sunshine?  Nothing but a layer of grey, it's none too warm either hovering around 6°C atm.

I'm down in your parts tomorrow in South Devon near Modbury at my parents

holiday lodge.

Hows the weather looking for next week?

I'm looking forward to trips to Salcombe and the gorgeous Bigbury on Sea.

Cracking few hours in the sunshine out in the garden, preparing the ground for the next planting.

Nice drop of rain tomorrow to soften is ll up. Ground still feels cold mind you.

I would say okay after the rain has cleared tomorrow, which should be quite early in the morning for Devon, with maybe some sunny spells after... Tuesday and Wednesday look rather nice actually, with quite a bit of sun around... Not completely sure on Thursday, but Friday looks like it could bring a bit more rain... So if you're looking to go to Salcombe for example, I'd go Tuesday/Wednesday!
