Just clear cold and frosty all day here. I do hope this nasty cloud or fog doesn't make it up the hill.any time soon  :D

 

Although forecast isn't great for the next week.  :closedeyes:

It's getting on my nerves people moaning about 'boring' weather because of a big anticyclone. For me part of winter weather is to have fog, frost, low cloud and it sometimes clearing to sunny afternoons (as has happened today/yesterday) but equally remaining all day in places. In the correct conditions this set up can bring spectacular rime, I saw some this morning, first thing, as I was driving to work.

Ditto many others in here, expected it to be cloudy and horrible today; but woke up to a frost and it's pretty much stayed sunny all day!

Ditto many others in here, expected it to be cloudy and horrible today; but woke up to a frost and it's pretty much stayed sunny all day!

Lovely weather :)

It is stunning and a glowing sunset just beginning, but how can cloudy be 'horrible' ? Surely last February was 'horrible'.

Well when it's cold, damp with grey clouds all day everyday, it becomes very monotonous very quickly, and frankly is rather depressing!!

Well if it can't snow and we have to get landed with a stubborn high, this weather is more than welcome in my opinion. Frigid and foggy first thing, then crystal clear all day with very little if any breeze. Lovely clear-sky sunset now with the temperature falling like a stone once more.

If it can stay clear tonight then its going to look lovely by morning with last nights frost thick on ground still :D 0.5c now and falling away although I expected a cloudy day today.

Oh I dunno, constant wind and rain is even more depressing in my book, I'd take grey cloudy skies over that any day.

Yep been very pleasant.

Sufficiently dry at the moment that on Sunday I even mowed the lawn.

Temperature seemed to bottom out shortly after midnight then rose again so no frost by daybreak - just dull and cold.

-2.7°C was the low here. It looks like Bournemouth was the coldest place in the country with -6°C

It was lovely and clear around 3am!

Currently overcast and 4.6°C

I don't expect any breaks in the cloud today?! :(
