Well..its not much but it is snow!! We are only 2 1/2 miles from the coast so this is pretty good...Most unexpected I thought we were too far West. ..my sister is thrilled they never get snow in Poole...:-)

Think the snow has gone to the met offices head as now on the weather app I have 9 hours of snow forecast Friday night and Saturday morning!!!!!!

Only 3 hours sleep.. X_x

-0.2°C and white.

I took the trusty tape measure out, and on a level surface, I had 4cm. ;)

I've heard fire engines go out, so I guess it has caused problems?! I'm surprised the MetO didn't extend the warning while the event was taking place?

 

At the Costa del Wareham, who'd have thought it possible. :yahoo:

 

Some other folk desperately close to receiving some but unlucky this time around, this cold spell still has some legs yet and may yet surprise us once more.

Moderate snow here at work in segensworth......and for the still snow starved peeps who haven't had any snow......hope you get some.....

 

You must be near me in the industrial estates - pretty heavy a few mins ago

Just travelled across the Salisbury plain to Eastleigh and it looks beautiful during sunrise there.

A lovely covering of snow everywhere turning the scenery into a picturesque winter wonderland.

Light snow as been on and off through the morning here now but alas I've got to head back up to green Bristol soon.

Brilliant to hear of snow right down on the South Coast and SW though, shows that there is little marginality out there now. Just need a channel low now. ;)

A 30mm level snowcover at 9am is my observation at Newbury, immediately further West and on the hills, I suspect it will be double that. I simply cannot complain though and I look forward to the next fun and games before too long.

Just had a decent snow fall on the way back from the school run. About 1 inch so far settling in the garden and its 1 degree. :yahoo: So I have very happy kiddies, a cold dog, indifferent cats and miffed chickens. :shok: Gonna be a good day.

All eyes on the next proper spell of snow - which may not be for quite a while going by the models. Congrats to those who received snow last night/this morning. For here, the blob of snow was too much on a SW trajectory, needed it to move in a more WSW direction. So close yet so far!

yes a surprise not sure of the snow in the east of the region but the MO underestimated the snow potential for the far SW. Just shows what can turn up. Mind you looking ahead after this week I fear for two weeks of cloudy dull and the wrong sort of cold for snow.

Currently -0.1c. Cloudy with the odd snowflake. Just under 6cm of lying snow. Going up Shotover soon.. :)

About a cm here. Happy as. Little lady trotted off to nursery (an outdoor yurt one!) so she's going to have loads of fun playing in it today!

When the snow was coming down the workmen a few doors up said this (i did chuckle to myself when one of the men said it)

Awww I want chickens :-D Do they even come out in the snow? lol
