It was a proper white frost down by the brook.

I live next to a brook and i can see a defo ground frost tonight for me, some places out in the sticks won't be far off freezing tonight :cold:

I can live with the chilly night's when we have lovely days like today :)

Disappointingly cloudy here now. I hope it's not going to turn into a dirty high.

looks dirty next week as a horrid wind picks up, Scotland best placed next week for summer, NW Midlands stuck under grey skies and cold wind

Superb day here. Sun never went in. Only a few little clouds. Met office as usual overestimated cloud amounts here. Looks like tomorrow will be the same. Looks great for the eclipse too. :)

Thick fog this morning, a marked contrast to this time yesterday which was sunny and almost cloudless.

Sorry guys...

Clear and sunny with a little gentle easterly setting in.

As I write some cloud just appearing, but mainly sunny!

Temperature dropped to my lowest of season at 1.9C at 07:00.

Must have been a ground frost!!

Current is now about 12C, although dropping a bit as cloud spreads in.

MIA

Lovely day coming up, more or less wall to wall sunshine with light winds and temps around 16c  it's going to feel very summery indeed.

And all this forthcoming week is looking more or less the same.....Just brill :)

Not as sunny or as warm as yesterday after this morning's fog.

The fog lifted by 0915 g.m.t but it's left large, ragged patches of St which have limited any sunshine to sunny intervals. The current temp' is 10.8c.

Went out on the bike for a couple of hours this morning and it felt distinctly chilly in any shady valleys.

Though it's not super duper warm (currently around 16*C) the sunny weather is making it feel as though Summer has come back out.

Autumn must be a little too tired at the moment...

You didn't, it's the fact that you mention things that aren't true or are exaggerated  " looks dirty next week as a horrid wind picks up"

Come on! words like dirty or horrid wnds for next week where do you get this rubbish from ???

September has now recorded more sunshine than August here. 96.6 hrs so far this month compared to an August total of 95.8 hrs.

Seems to be a habit recently of Septembers being sunnier than August. And in some ways, a lot more settled, too. In fact, the last truly unsettled September I remember would be the 2000 one (although that was quite extreme). Suspect there's likely been other unsettled Septembers since 2000 that my brain hasn't allowed me to remember.

I'm more shocked by that August total - cripes! We had around 180 hours in August. September is well behind but reasonable nonetheless.
