Very humid day in the eventual sunshine ,cloud building now for the impending thundery Armageddon ...

as I posted before, I had one distant rumble of thunder at 15:25 accompanied by a powerful sferic. I was quite surprised after the lack of sferics today although I did say I was hopeful last night. Your reverse psychology worked, at least for me.

thunder and lightning remains elusive as ever in the nw,  but did we expect any different,  looks like some activity in the east though , ie yorkshire

Not a bad day but about 4pm the stormiest looking sky I've seen for absolutely ages dropped a 20 minute deluge.

No thunder or lightening but enough rain to wash the loose clippings from the roads just surfaced.

Cleared through but raining a bit again now.

Well a good start to the day, a mostly sunny morning and managed 20°C again. The day went downhill as the cold front approached, but glad to have some thunder, the first since 22rd August. Much fresher now at 15c.

Rain to the east and rain out west, nice and dry here still (for the time being) !!  Feeling cooler @ 11.6c with a  NW'ly wind.

A very autumnal day today with heavy rain. Surprisingly it isn't that cold or windy however...

Starting to brighten up here from the west, won't be long till the sun makes an appearance. Cooler than the last few days it's only 12.1c with a chilly breeze.
