nice , stayed at cefalu on the north coast a few years back , it's a surprisingly big island !!.

Cheers for that was going to palermo but think we will do enna and cefalu now! Was in isola di ortigia in syracuse yesterday.... Managed taoromina today after day before yesterdays landslide they had opened the motorway again....

if you go to cefalu go up the fortress ,it's worth the hike ,and in Palermo look at the top of some of the buildings ,they're still showing WW2 bomb damage !!

I see that the official Crosby station is second warmest in Britain on the front page now. That could become a regular occurrence in the next 2 weeks with the expected set up.

Bright morning with some sunshine, got down to 8.2c overnight. Didn't manage to see the aurora :( I think next time I need to get away from the light pollution and gain a bit of height. Seen some amazing photos from around Cumbria though.

Decent day, sunny spells with some cloud but more cloud and less sun by late afternoon.

Dry throughout though which is an improvement after the deluges of the last few days.

Didn't make it as far as cefalu or Palermo as auto piste after Enna road had collapsed.... Landslide the other day after Taormina closed Catania to Messina road so giardini Naxos was worse than Glossop is normally traffic wise...

Looking forward to overnight storms http://www.estofex.org

Currently 29c sunny and humid...
