Lovely evening in prospect, at least until the showers arrive so with this being a one day heatwave and an iffy weekend coming up its time to get the lawn mower out.

Currently 24.5c here.

After a damp misty start with low cloud shrouding the moors, a clearance has arrived and it's turning into a decent day.

Currently 15c but feels quite warm and certainly muggy.

It's just a shame that the forecast is for it to go downhill again later this afternoon with rain to spoil yet another weekend day.

The first front moved through quite happily with nothing more than just a few spots of rain.

Skies are now clearing for a couple of hours of summer sunshine to enjoy until a little rain moves in later.

18C and feeling warm

To be perfectly honest, looking at the radar, I don't think we'll be getting much rain from front #2, it looks weak, it'll decay further as it hits the mountains. Those in the south will benefit from the rain shadow effect today. Especially so with the pressure not so low at the minute.

Cloudy this morning after the cold front. I'm hoping the clearance will arrive pretty soon.

Nice and bright after cloudy start 200c ...

I thought we'd be dead with that temperature, but it actually feels quite pleasant! :)

Still wet here, it's that real heavy drizzley stuff that soaks you right through

Typical summer weather with a lousy day followed by an improving one.

Lovely evening in prospect and a decent day on the cards tomorrow before the poor part of typical summer weather returns for the end of the week.

Currently 19c so no heatwave but after yesterday's atrocious conditions, today is a welcome improvement.

Best day of the week today, at least the low for the end of the week should make St Andrews Golf Open bare it's teeth....contrast between Thurs and Friday will be like chalk and cheese for the golfers there.
