It's remarkably cold for such a sunny day here: just 16C despite being mostly sunny since dawn.

A decent day with sunshine practically all day and only occasional wall to wall cloud.

Coolish feel to the day though, especially with the breeze and a maximum here of 18c.

A lovely summer's day on my side of Manchester today. Near wall-to-wall sunshine and the temperatures are already upto 20C at 11:30. It's meant to cloud over in a bit though...

The precipitation forecasts don't give me much optimism for any storm potential tonight, at least for the Greater Manchester area.

Looking forward to some breezy conditions tomorrow to give a sense that autumn is not that far away.  :D

Breezy, warm, sunny. Just over 20C. Not bad. Looks like remaining mostly sunny most of the afternoon. This breeze can get lost though.

The cloud is thickening now from the south and the breeze is starting to make its presence felt.

Looks like the sun is just about managing to keep the cloud at bay. If this continues, it could be one of those days that turn out much warmer than expected. :)

Id say today is the 5th warm day this year, although it has been mostly cloudy.

It clouded over at about 14:45 here and has threatened to brighten up at times, which has in-turn failed. Now it's just completely cloudy at 22C.

I'm still trying to stay reasonably optimistic for tonight. Yes we're not in a prime location but that still doesn't mean that thunderstorms are impossible. After all, the weather always tries to find ways of catching us out...

yes slight optimism for the early hours, but not holding my breath, and loosing sleep,  waiting up for a more than likely non thundery event  , but I will leave a window open just in case

So we were warned about a possible summer gale today.

(Looks out window)

Is that it?! It was bleedin' windier yesterday than today!

Decent day although a strong breeze has developed this afternoon.

Pleasantly warm out of the breeze though and dry since early morning so not a bad day in the end.
