Dew temps are lowering now in Northern Ireland with most stations reporting 0 or below dew points so the colder air is filtering in and dew temps around this region should start dropping soon also. 

 

Unfortunately, the more organised does have a mild sector in but as long as winds are off shore(winds are forecast to veer more Northerly) then for some areas, snowfall is a real possibility. 

 

As per ever, its radar watching and not get too drawn up with those BBC graphics!

yes I noticed that. Totally agree with your thoughts. Also evaporative cooling, whilst negated somewhat by the strong winds, will still be a factor to consider.

I think evaporative cooling will be very limited due to the winds(especially if they are on shore winds) but if there is no wintry weather, then some severe gales will do quite nicely!

There is a couple of people on twitter reported snow in Belfast now.

Temp gone back up a touch to 4.4c, just had rain showers today not really expecting much in the way of wintry ppn here overnight, the hills may get a slight covering, I just want to see an air frost! Even that's looking a bit touch and go with the best chance tomorrow night as winds fall light.
