The sun nearly came out about an hour ago. False alarm, though: it soon went back to being grey, damp and boring.

Right now, apart from the minor interest created by December's CET record, this has been the most boring early winter I can recall. Of course I'm grateful that Bewdley's avoided any significant flooding, but please can we have some dry days? I don't care whether they're mild or cold or somewhere in between -- I just want, let's say, three days together without significant rainfall. When did we last have that? October? Sigh.

Believe it or not.....

I played a golf match this morning and we all really enjoyed it!!!:pardon::cc_confused::fool:

I have recorded just 8mms this morning, although it felt like double that!

The course was...... waterlogged.

Anymore and we could get major flooding.

However as we walked off the 18th it stopped,,,,,,,,,,, :girl_devil::girl_devil::diablo:... just goes to show.

Temperature has remained steady at about 9C through it all.

Oh well at least I have the chance of seeing the Stokes innings now!!!

This has to be a most tiresome winter. I like cold, frosty, bright winters but this has been a gloomy, wet damp-fest for the most part here. And now the inevitable flood warnings are springing up on the River Severn as all that rain over North Wales starts to make its way down the river. Even going for a walk on the Malverns, the ground is water-logged and boggy on the paths.

Got  back yesterday from celebrating New Year in the Peak District. Definitely wasn't  the snowfest that I had hoped for and experienced last year! Think at the moment I'd be happy with a bit of frost
