... any ways we had a load of rain here today in the peak district....  really wet stuff like water so it was.. the sun was out at first all shinny and bright along with some loverly blue sky all up there in the sky...... i bet we all see some rain over the weekend and some cloud to go with it too... whats the betting we see some weather next week... colder than average but not so cold it will snow...spring soon some warmish days and some cool nights followed by some of that summer stuff 2 days of warmth and sun before the rain comes back again... then its the build up to winter 16/17 it cant be any worse than this winter has been.... see you all in November.... peace love and happiness to you all..

Hopefully....that could be the kick start of what we've been missing this winter, by the end of the week it's a snowfeast going by the 12z GFS :D

Those Meteociel charts always significantly overegg the snow risk, just be aware!

On the face of it those charts look great, but it's not particularly cold unfortunately. Southern half of the UK we'd be using the dreaded "marginal" word a lot.

Currently 12.1 °C outside. Any wintriness seems a long way away right now! Still, given the models and the cold MetO extended outlook today, who knows? Another 2013, anyone?

The marginal story lives on, GFS showing many many Hours of falling snow come the end of the week and well into the weekend :help::cold:.

All us Coldies know how one feels, I won't believe it until i see it either snowangel

LONG MAY THESE MODEL (GFS) RUNS :cold:LIVE ON :D

EDIT....Can't remember the last time I've seen such a solid snow risk chart (widely 90% -95%) and this is after 12hrs of falling snow :cold:

Got to be honest, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the 18z run tonight. It is brilliant but we've seen it go wrong this far out so many times. If it's still showing that at 48 hours away, only then will I start to take notice.

I suppose the best thing is to get cold air in first then look for snow from maybe disturbances, frontal snow or showers from there. For once it does look being bitter later in the week.

Come on!.....((((IT'S ONLY SUNDAY))))  these set ups are complex patterns, more so when there is snow involved.

Expected...Upgrades & Downgrades....Corrections,,,, what ever you want to call it.....  Cold first then we will see what happens :cold:

It does look dry, but a lot of cold spells in this country look dry away from coasts or near coastal regions - but quite frequently little things pop up.

Get the cold IN, then keep your eyes out from there.

Back home now! Feels very warm after what I have been used to! From about -20c at night in Lapland to a toasty 14c today. :D Daffodills out and quite a few trees budding around here. :)
