can definitely tell it's February, stronger sun, usually sunniest month, as any later in year more cloud due to convection

To be fair the last couple of days seem to have had convection infill! Will drive me nuts if that is the theme of this year again! lol

I think April will be sunniest, always guaranteed high pressure domination then watch the muck arrive in May again! haha

April though creates convective cloud, unless easterlies, then my area struggles with north sea dirt, mist burnt off very quickly today, by 8am, same setup in say May, would take until 1pm ish

Good grief, it's trying to snow!

Teeny, tiny flakes, but there's definitely white bits falling out of the sky.....

Fizz

Been watching out but not seen anything here yet. It does have the grey sky of a cold easterly now and I had noticed a patch of darker cloud towards the north east from here.

Temp currently 2,2C, after a minimum of 1.3C

Yes, it only lasted 10 minutes, but hey, gives you hope that things might be heading in the right direction for a quick bit of winter over the next few weeks.... :)

So, some fairly persistent hints from the GFS for some snow Weds & Fri this week...

Breath holding starts here!

Breath out now Fizz.....:D:D:yahoo:

Still uncertainty Sharon abounds - we may just catch the northern edge on IF's latest guess!!!

Though the  models are all over the place.

Cold this morning at min of -3.9C...

Still feels cold , with a few sunny intervals and a strengthening  southerly.

Current temp 6C.

Great few days until this evening, the last couple of weeks really haven't been that bad at all, cold but sunny days. Judging by virtually all reports in the MOD/Strat threat...high pressure and an E/NE flow are favoured right throughout March and into April. A very chilly/to cold outlook with a large potential for some harsh frosts. Hopefully lots of frosty cold days, some nice scenic views - perhaps the odd chance of a night snow event.

Before we know it, it will be April and then the focus turns to the US Storm Chase season. As that ends, the EURO's start...and by the time they finish it's already pre-season and into August is the new season/cricket season + bam, then it's September and we are back with eyes on winter again! Can't wait. Let's see what next year has to offer.

Let's keep it cold and frosty for as much of April as we can and look forward to an active/stormy Summer. Won't be long before the nights are back drawing in!!

Temperature of 8,4C with continuous light rain..

As for any snow .. one can still be hopeful, but the North west  jet stream  seems to be pants for us. :sorry::nea::nea:

A cool, partly sunny, later cloudy day here, but feeling rather hopeful of a sprinkling of snow tomorrow! Will be the first here this year if it happens.
