In terms of today I wouldn't trust the radar at all. I had a look at a webcam at Tan-y-Bwlch in Snowdonia that looks like it's under quite heavy precipitation but it's dry. I mean I guess the camera might not be working properly.

Well I wasn’t expecting that, it shows how little I know about science and the North West snow curse.

I’ll get my coat

Probably in that warning by 0.5 mile, doubt i'll see snow now, certainly not laying.

Keep us posted if nothing the Radar needs sacking....! - front is moving up SW and cold enough from yesterdays dry E winds.

WRF 06Z still fine. Cold surface air slightly more stubborn again increasing ice pellet risk later.

One of my favourite places in the world. Wish I was there. Used to go 3–4 times a year to the Ffestiniog.

Interesting how the new warning removes the Fylde from the warning.

As expected leading edge of front is virga like last week. Seems to be a theme front looks like it’s further north but in fact precip just evaporates before reaching ground.

The radar shows the ppn knocking on the door here now. Certainly cold enough for anything that falls to be snow. Overcast and a cold Easterly wind atm.

I’m sorry to say but I doubt anyone in the region will see anything today. Precip is much further south in reality.

Is the radar to be believed, shows pink over much of west Cumbria and on our doorstep, but skies are clear, and no sign of precipitation on the way. Current temp 2.7 degrees - might see a sleety snowy wet flurry passing by..

Radar Pinks are increasingly high in intensity Liverpool should be in line for a pasting soon by rights.

The Mad thread really gets on my nerves at times.
members this morning after the 6z screaming and yelling downgrades because it’s not showing snow in their back yards in the SOUTH.
