Bbc 12hrs ago saying bit of rain sleet in my  region. Looks like snow

Overnight blizzard has delivered about 8cm of wet snow here. North Staffordshire can be relied on for snow

The window above the Chinese has been ripped off its hinges and blown out and the wall at end of the street has been blown worst storm in living memory here.

There was some wet snow earlier but nothing on the ground at all in the centre of Belper. Head to quite modest elevation though and it's a pretty scene with plenty of the white stuff coating the hills. Minor roads are a bit treacherous though. 

This is between Belper and Alderwasley, about 3 miles from me.
