2 rounds of wind looks likely tomorrow more so in the evening and Wednesday morning..

First is associated with what I can only imagine is going to be a pretty active squall line / front moving through from Barra.

Using Arome to highlight this.. 5pm

This quickly moves through although pretty windy tomorrow afternoon and evening especially along coasts..

Switching to Aprege now as AROME still running out... doesn't go out to Wednesday yet..

Quite breezy Wednesday although as Barra fills out over the UK these ease through the afternoon...

Thankfully we look to miss the very worse of the winds, having said that I think a small chance the South Coast might get an Amber warning if those stronger winds out West do push down the Channel or the storm is slightly further South.

Still some potential for localised disruption and trees down... More so when the Squall moves through as its very well timed with the school rush and rush hour!

Found another one, wind was sculpting wave like clouds in the distance, was incredible how much it shapeshifted

Some lovely photos on here today.  I could see some pink as the sun started to come up and ran for the camera, only to find cloud had very quickly obscured any sunrise in this area.   Therefore just another bland day of stats to report after a dull, cold and rather miserable day.

Max temperature of 7C today, up from the  overnight low of 1.8C at 07:30.  Currently temp is 3C with 85% humidity.  Wind mostly from a SSW direction with highest gust briefly 21mph, veering Westerly and becoming light.  Just shifting to WSW and 4mph.  Pressure currently 1006.9hPa rising slowly.

We've had a total of 1.8mm rain in the last 24 hours.

Today's weather highlight.....the sunrise photos from other members!

right ..jumping run to run ..it ..it (gfs) now develops a quasi stationary half depression over  Scotland..which in turn scuppers our chance of cold ..but ,we will see what happens on tomos 18hr run  ,to much  change on 6hr ly

well looking at this evenings gfs run ..with my exceptional  untechnical bias ,we are chasing shadows ,that's my opinion (for snow) for the minute anyway here ( lowland Kent//coast).maybe sleet wet snow highest highest ground as precipitation comes and goes

Bit of rain last night and then the skies cleared. Temperature must have plunged as it was hard to get the car door open this morning.

Yes - frost on the car this morning, but we've got a very rapid temperature rise happening now. In the last hour we've gone from just above zero to 7.5 C and it's still climbing...

Yes, gone from 1c to 9c in literally an hour, southerly winds picking up is the reason.

Was expecting to wake up to some icy paths/roads this morning after the rain yesterday, but thankfully not, just a light grass frost and car windscreens frosted over. Currently just below 2c here and barely any wind yet.

Winds are really starting to pick up now, what possessed me to go collect up the leaves that had fallen I dont know, because the lawn will likely be fully covered by any that have clung on to the trees so far, by morning. Temp up to 5c.

Rain has got here now, wind still not worth talking about really for here. Worst point will probably be the squall, if it still is one here. They normally die to just normal rain before getting to this corner.
