2 consecutive beautiful, sunny days with overnight hard frosts. Keep forgetting to take my phone with me when I head out in the mornings, but it's been stunning trust me! Minima -3/-4 peaking to 6-7c by day. I'd quite happily take this for winter tbh!

I would dearly love a frosty start and full on sun hat-trick tomorrow , which would mean a lack of fog in the morning.

Oh we've had the fog as well, but it clears pretty quick. I walk over a bridge on the way to work, and love the early morning mist hanging over the fields as it starts to lift!

Morning All, another fine start this morning, after the mist of last night, everything has a white sugar like coating this morning , which is rapidly disappearing as the sun rises..

Gorgeous out there again after an overnight low of -2.2°C.

No fog around today. Thought there might be more than yesterday.

Full on sun hat-trick achieved albeit a close run thing as it was foggy less than half a mile away until mid morning!

For the first time in ages some frost stayed in the shade all day, that used to be a winter benchmark!

Very cold day here in Stroud.

Temperature -3.1c this morning with a hard frost.

Daytime max hardly made it above freezing with frost all day in the shade. I was working in Gloucester and felt bitter. Back home now  and at 1C with fog coming and going.

Overall the most wintry feeling day of the winter so far.

Also saw a shooting start this morning at 7am.

The inversion, with no wind mixing in the milder air above, has certainly been the coldest spell of the winter for my area.  .

Only mist here this morning so it was another day of wall to wall sunshine.  Definitely warmer this afternoon, but didn't get to double figures.

Our back garden has been frosted over the past couple of days. The road looks like an ice rink seen a couple of peaple nearly go over today.  The sun has been out and the birds have been happy if not a bit cold on their feet.

Minus 1 I n Basingstoke, 4th morning in a row with a hard frost. Got to laugh at how bad the net weather forecast is, currently it says it’s 3 degrees just the 4 degrees out.

The sights of a MILD winter...

The Robin keeping an eye on one of the weatherstations.

And a bee searching for early pollen.

Note: The cloudy skies.

A weird one overnight.. It looked as though it was going to get below freezing yesterday evening, until cloud rolled in. Temp stayed at 2°C to the early hours, but by this morning, it had dropped to -2°C.

Overcast for most of the morning, but the sun has come out and the temp is up to 5.4°C.
