Similar here. Looks like it's going to be a meh day, cloudy with maybe the odd bit of sun peeking through ever now and then.

It's trying! It's trying!!

It's not trying here lol.

After a torrential pour down in Exmouth yesterday , today I'm back in Taunton , with a temperature so who knows what the real temperature weather wise is doing . According to netweather about 19C.

It's grey , quite breezy and gusty at times , so the breeze is rather helpful , except when I'm shivering .

Enjoying the change in weather though .

A warm 24.7°C at: 13:21, with a healthy breeze. I've noticed people on the MaD thread discussing Autumn to Winter, which made me wonder if it is brought around by TESCO having their.............

.........in the store entrances ?

Let me check, Yup still summer, and yet Winter goods are already on sale in MID AUGUST...Christmas is going to be long and very drawn out, with no money this year!

Not a bad day in the end. Good spells of sunshine in the middle of the day.

And the w*nk weather returns after an initially more promising day… Seems we’re back on the hunt for a sunny day.

Had some sort of dust devil/vortex feature go over here earlier.

There was suddenly a strong southerly wind blowing through my window and I thought that's odd, a sudden unexpected (and strong) sea breeze. I Looked outside, by which time it changed to a westerly/northerly, while up the road the church flag was still blowing strongly from the S/SE (which a few seconds later swung 180 degrees to a northerly).

My station registered a gust of 26 mph despite an average wind speed of 4 mph. It caused a pressure dip too:

High of 25c yesterday mid afternoon.
Yesterdays morning rain bought a  total of 6mm, so 11.8mm for the month.
low of 15c at 1:30am

Clear blue skies this morning.
17.8c, 4-7mph SW wind

Amazing what even seems a small amount of rain this week provided. Can still have another day off watering the veg patch.
Mind the greenhouse will still need a watering 🙂

Annoyingly, noticed with the torch patrol last few days, that the slugs and snails came out with the rain. But, all nicely dealt with.
The yeast buried slug trap yogurt pots also captured loads this week. They have been very light in the dry spell.
