Very frustrating seeing a huge swathe of cloud  on the betwewtger radar approaching,  only for if to start evaporating just before it gets to me .

Breeze is cooler than it has been , but as you all know residual heat in the house is still pretty warm .

Supposed to be going g to Dartmoor later .

Currently 17.8°C after an overnight low of 16.9°C..Dewpoint 16.8°C and RH 94%.......feels pretty claggy.

Cloudy with the sun trying to come out.

A high yesterday of 31.3c, 20.1c at midnight, low of 17.2c at 6:15am

Cloudy start, but thinning out in places now, with blue creeping into the mix.
Now, 18.3c, SSW light wind

Looking good on the forecasts for some rain at last on Tuesday and Wednesday here, currently 35-60% chance.
Will give me some relief from watering the garden for a few days. To think I've been doing it manually for 21 days since our last very light spell.

Early mist roiling off the heath around 5am has cleared, the overnight low of 14.8°C at: 05:35, has risen to 19.3°C, RH83% under partly cloudy skies and light air movement from the SW.

Light intermittent drizzle here in Portishead.

Not much on the radar to suggest that there could be thunder and lightning. It just looks like a weak maritime front moving in.

Storm chase mode de-activated.

???... where did you get that temp from? All my apps currently indicate 21/22c... either way i bottled it re dipping my toes!

Oddly enough I put our laundry out before the "rain" arrived taking the guess it wouldn't make any difference...and it didn't

Same here. Was expecting more than a few drops! Is that it for the day? Band has gone over here now and sunshine trying to break through. Temperature 26.2C.

What a gorgeous day so far, cooler, grey skies this morning & some rain, absolute bliss compared to the last 4 days of oppressive heat!

Minimum 17.0 (higher than yesterday) and it''s now reached 28°C which makes it day 8 of the heatwave (27 is the threshold here). Sun has managed to break through the cloud. (Almost) needless to say, no rain so far and inside it's still 27+ in every room, windows open or no.

Will it REALLY ever end?
