Looks to have topped out here at 33.7 at 12:45 when the sea breeze veered the wind from NE to SE, earlier and slightly stronger than yesterday so no station record here by the looks of it.

Mind you, it only dropped the temperature by a degree or two, somewhat less than yesterday, so if the breeze drops away, you never know! Currently 32.6,C.

There is talk of a downstairs one being added as part of our new extension. Thus said ... without boring you all to death ... the water pipeage stuff is all out the back . so would need to get them digging through to the front to add in the plumbing! 😮 Taking up all the flooring etc. Clothes in shed sounds good ... Although your correct answer should have been ... its too hot for wearing any clothes ...

I was doing well until the breeze switched into the SE/S and then it started to cool off, with 33.4°C at: 12:24 being the best we could muster, with the Winchester team topping the charts again..

You're either lost on the forum, or fancy dippy your fingers in to the crazy SW bunch, which is it?

As it stands we'd be happy to take over ruling the SW. SE, and Norfolk (!) threads! (No this is not a Ukraine style attack...)

OR, are you sneaking in here to assess our use of water?

I don't know, mate, but SFB's been on here for almost as long as I have. And, dare I say it (without being subjected to a furious 'woke' attack) I've always considered her to be a nice person. Is that okay?👍

Temperature today reached 30.3C equalling yesterday's and 18th July which makes me suspicious but probably just a coincidence.  

I saw the smoke drifting your way @Mapantz, looking from Whitecliff. At first I thought it was Brownsea, that would had been a disaster, thankfully not. Still not good though.

Southampton Airport, temperature almost flat for 5 hours and currently at its high for the day:

Screen location is up at 2 metres and with acres of green around it, so that's as low as we are likely to see in that area - and it doesn't report decimals or the maxima.

meantime, apparently I have to sit out in the garden with #3&#4 for the shooting stars. Lovely evening, sipping an estrella, but.,. Well the other stars are not cooperating

We have also just been out in the garden looking for shooting stars with no success. Probably need to be out there at 3am or similar to see them. I’m not that dedicated! 
Lovely clear skies though, and felt quite nice and cool out there. Come inside and bedroom temperature is 28.6C. Don’t like these hot nights.
