Dying a slow painful death..showers that is..

Pretty hilarious today. Just the one morning school run time deluge overhead, then a few sharp showers as well as warm sunshine until the dregs of earlier downpours gave a few hours of drizzle while decaying.
 

‘Lightbulb’ sun almost constantly visible through anvils/cirrus since about 14.00 .

Been chucking it down here for last few hours.

No wind, nowt seems to be moving, so to my south west i've seen brighter skies for last few hours, whilst here we've had (and still have) dark grey cloud and persistent, sometimes heavy rain.

A thoroughly miserable, cold, late afternoon, evening, temp of 13c.  Last day of June and 13c!

Not a single drop of rain here as all the showers missed as usual, that combined with the rain last night breaking up as it arrived here means yet again there's been almost no rain here and it's still just as dry as it's been for some time now. Reached 18.1°C

Morning All, a clear cloudless sky this morning (5am that was) that has since had a fair amount of cloud bubble up, with some noticeable virga

Meanwhile figures-wise a single figure overnight low of 8.0°C at: 05:45, has risen to 16.8°C, RH74%, light air movement from the W of 2.5mph, and patchy sunny spells..

From above certainly a lot cloudier further west with showers breaking out again today

Thankfully showers have gone, decent convection over Salisbury Plain viewed from Westbury.

Good morning all, after a mild and overcast night with a low of 13.4°C at: 04:21, the St layer has some holes in it allowing the temperature to creep up to 16.3°C, RH79% and a light 9mph breeze in from the NW..

From above the small front is seen over the western part of the area (will it make it or fall apart before it reaches us?)

 

At sea level a few beach-goers prepared to give it a go!

With a nice squall line (QLCS, not really thunderstorms though) developed, looking at it's current position too far north for us to get any of that unless it develops further south along the cold front.

 

Zooming out on the radar image does show at least three distinct areas of heavier rainfall

The life is being squeezed out of the cold front as it slowly progresses eastwards, well the part of we shall see that is.. I don't mind I'm working in the garden so no rain today would be helpful..

Proper dying out. There's gonna be no rain left. Just drizzle to wet us. And of course ridiculous cloud to make us grumpy whilst not actually doing anything meaningful!

Persistent rain here, from about 10 oclock this morn, temp of 14c.

Started to clear about an hour ago, but still grey and cool. 

Certainly, doesnt feel or look like Summer.

Bring on the warmth and sun over coming days and weeks
