Much better today. Clear blue sky with one or two cumulus clouds and up to 25 so far. I expect the same tomorrow. ☀️

Very pleasant here in Shepton Mallet, being elevated there is a gentle breeze.

Warmest day of the year at 26.8°C.

I'm concreting and building a wall, so I'm really enjoying this weather.

You’ve probably still got time to overtake that. Here the breeze has ruined any chance of it going any higher. Now down to 21.9°C

27.8°C not long ago. I can feel the fluctuations whilst I'm working. The wind dropped for a few minutes and the heat built up before the breeze came back.

Another beauty. Serious danger of having a beer on a school night here.

Oh go on spoil yourself, just don't breath on the teacher in the morning!

Well, we tried but 26.9°C at: 14:55, was as good as we could muster. I'll leave it up to Mapantz to bring in the top temps..

THUNDERSTORMS and torrential downpours could cause disruption in Dorset with potential for flooding, the Met Office has warned.

Quote "Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services"

With minimal trains running I suspect the effect might not be noticed!

Sunny start but high cloud already starting to move in from the SE. The current showers in the SE don't look especially thundery but it's early in the day.

OK, so WHO stole the big yellow thing in the sky, a fairly uniform layer of St this morning, after an overnight low of 11.3°C at: 05:14, currently 19.3°C, RH66% and a light 7mph breeze in from E / SE. Further west rain has pushed in from the channel, and some possible outbreak moving up out of France in southern areas later(if they survive crossing the channel).

TAF for Bournemouth suggests: heavy rain showers, thunderstorm, rain

Well that wasn't worth the yellow warning for thunderstorms and rain, having received a meagre 0.2mm. Mind you there's still 5hrs 58mins left before the warning expires, so we could remain hopeful!

The wife and I was in Lyme Regis earlier and went to car at 2ish for quick snack and we had like 5 spots of rain hit the car and that was it,was very overcast.back in Taunton now and sun out and making it feel very warm again.

Big nothing-burger so far. A few dark clouds and the very odd raindrop, but that's it. I even cut the lawn as a rain offering.
