So the channel is all dried up, seemingly a wasted warning from our MetO colleagues. As Lerwick was outside of the Yellow warning I think we can cross their total out!

It was "warned" to do this:

Ah well, the weather does what it wants, where it wants, and as much as it wants...

Morning All, a bit of a mixed bag this morning, layer of St, some Cu, and some blue patches, with some darker / thicker patches of cloud, so something for everyone. The overnight low of 13.5°C at: 04:26, has struggled up to 16.6°C, RH84% and light air movement of 2mph from the SSW..

From above, confirmation...it's cloudy

Meanwhile at sea level, well like I said overcast

Not much going on here. Mostly grey, with the odd bright moment. There were a few spots of rain on the car windscreen around late morning, but nothing which would help a peroxide lawn.

Our school is running by covid! Parents were behind cones away from the school kids who were the other side of the track. I watched my child run 1 length of the track - last and that was it! I sat around for an hour to see 15 seconds of running and it was all over ... Then we got told to go home via the outside of the building. We still aren't allowed in!

Oh dear, sorry to hear that, how I remember those sports days, same thing all that waiting, and then boom, blink and you miss your child's best performance. Oh well at least it didn't pee on your parade..

I was going to do the usual and set the telly up in the garden for Glasto this weekend, but it's not very nice out, so that's saved a job.

Looks like they might get a bit wet in an hour, or so.

Quite a bit of rain here in the last hour, or so.

Stuck inside, so I got to watch Idles. OH is now watching Sam Fender. He's pretty good. Like a young Bruce Springsteen.

Showers in the forecast today but they all dodged Portishead. The wind added further insult to injury by blowing over our new water butt. Think I'll just give up and plant some cactii.

Did you hear the thunder just across the Severn? I saw a few lightning strikes from Clevedon looking that way at 6ish.

No, I missed that. Cardiff and the valleys seemed to be getting more than their fair share of heavy weather yesterday.

I should do the lottery or do predictions more widely.

Two weeks ago I said to several people that it would be raining on Monday 27th June because for various reasons it was to be my first outdoor work day in nearly 3 weeks.

Well, here we are! Pretty much every morning in that fortnight has been fine!

A complete contrast from yesterday, completely throwing it down when I left the house this morning.
