Sunshine ☀️ blue skies… quick walk into town then some more gardening…

hopefully some nice warm summery weather this week and some meaningful rain later…

Waiting in Failsworth at Newbridge school to see my lad off on his jollies.

My second youngest is going on a residential to Perran sands in Cornwall until Friday.

Certainly looks like a good few days of fine weather to enjoy.

High of 21.3c two Celsius higher than forecast today… felt hot in the sunshine earlier… come over hazy now and feels a little chilly in light breeze…

Cooler at and after the weekend maybe? And some welcome rain for the gardens and reservoirs.

Why couldn’t Saturday and Sunday have been something like Fridays and Mondays weather.

A warm day today with plenty of sunshine, high of 21.5C. Things looks set to get gradually warmer each day as this week goes on, but then cooler and unsettled for the weekend.

Perfect conditions today  summer solstice tomorrow and then we begin the long road to the winter one. No doubt by then it'll be 14C with a nasty unrelenting bartlett parked to our south. Come late March and into April freezing cold nirvana charts will begin to tentatively show their hand to rub salt into the wound when it's late. Standard stuff for good ol' blighty.

A great summers day, yes temps nothing special maxing out around 18-19 degrees, but with lots of sunshine and light winds, felt very good indeed. Light levels are at there maximum now, last night another twilight one, tonight the same, longest day tomorrow. If we could have days like today throughout the summer I'd be very happy, much prefer to plus 25 degree days, or humid hot ones. This is the best part of the summer I feel, make the most of it!, doesn't get any better than this..

I was thinking the same thing yesterday coming home from Wales, best weather was travelling down Friday and coming home Monday.  Sunday afternoon turned out good, managed to watch a sunset over the sea windfarms near Rhyl.  A really good start to today, absolutely smashing weather for getting holiday clothes dry. Currently 17°.  Garden thermometer saying 19°.

Morning all.

A beautiful day.

It bl**dy hot in the car even with the windows open whilst waiting for the next visit. Cant run engine and aircon as budget on fuel is stretched.

23.7c currently… feels hot in car/near tarmac…

breeze only slightly tempering

blue skies and some high cloud…

lookslike we may have the best weather in the NW over the next few days with 24-28c and clear skies…

still hoping it rains at weekend (some models going for overnight) to water parched garden and fill water butts… plus give reservoir’s a top up

23'c currently which is similar to yesterday's values, it felt particularly chilly this morning whilst waiting for the summer solstice sunrise but the red-skies made the effort worthwhile. As we have sunrise 9 minutes earlier than Stonehenge (being more north) I watched that on livestream before grabbing a few hours of shut-eye.

A day of ideal summer conditions ends with a beautiful clear warm evening. Barely a breath of wind and it sounds like most folks around here are sat outside in their gardens enjoying it too. Perfect ☀️

Another largely sunny day today and significantly warmer than yesterday with light winds as well, a high of 24.1C.

Reached 25c here today and looking at the lack of clouds sunshine from dawn to dusk.

shame I’ve been stuck inside at work all day.

interestingly the  summer solstice normally involves poor weather, certainly up here but not this year.

Whilst a warmer day than yesterday, it has been cloudier, so I would rank it lower. Barely any wind. Thursday likely to be our warmest day of the year so far, could hit 25 degrees, then typically as we near weekend it all goes downhill!

A stunning end to the day, not a cloud in the sky on this longest day. Much prefer these cloudless sunny days rather than the plumes of polluted continental air like last week where it just clouds over by lunchtime.

After a clear and sunny start it’s gone quite foggy here now so no repeat of yesterdays dawn to dusk sunshine.

big question is whether with it being the 21st June, was yesterday my sunniest day ever or if not, how long do I have to go back to find a day that equalled it.
