Finally got to see something myself in Dublin, mostly eaten by the incoming cloud but it's a start.

Came home from a weekend in Wales yesterday, nodded off early, mad at myself for missing the display.  Thank you to everyone for your pics.

Well using the daisy as a predictive tool for 2 days ago has been a success so far this season. We have been able to identify the times when theres not much chance, and times when a display is likely accurately... so far... so thats a big to Arnie !

Speaking of which, and without wanting to sound too greedy, last nights daisy also suggests tonight should be good... but 3 days behind forecasting (last nights is now 3 days ago) is not as accurate.. have the clouds at nearly ten to the hour diminished or strengthened?.. tonight daisy will be very interesting as we are expected to have clear skies, and we must take every opportunity.

Managed to just about see them last night but NNE isn't a good direction as its quite obscured.

I should have got up and had a wander out, but coming off a 87.5 hour week saw to that and I fell back to sleep!

I think the only guess we have to whether the clouds have  diminished or strengthened is our old friend Marrsy

All though not fully understood, we know it detects the ingredients for NLC`s it`s been on fire for the last few day`s

A good sign I do believe

a couple more from this morning

Thanks.... ive found they can and do appear quite a way from sunset/capella ... the first ones a couple of weeks ago were well south of sunset.. the trick is to observe as much of the sky as you can (for newbies), they dont always appear where the sun has set.

I see the Geo-engineering/chemtrail muppets have noticed NLC photos circulating and have predictably started spouting their BS claims all over the comments

At least (with temps not expected to exceed 30C) we should be spared any drivel about planes, trains and automobiles!

Though, I must admit to once mistaking noctilucents for an aurora!

Absolutely clear here atm, I'm pretty much drained..after being out working in the sun all day (as yesterday) missed last nights show as was in bed just after midnight. Tea is cooking and that's me and the dogs..won't be much later tonight. I'll try my best to stop up. Make hay while the sun shines they say. literally.. even with the tractor doors/windows open while tedding isn't pleasant.
