Looks like it's arriving now a bit behind schedule still great shakes 33 mph so will probably get close to the forecast amounts of 42mph.

There has been light winds and no rain today. Thurrock and the rest of the SE England desperately need. I do not think the wind exceeded 10-14 miles per hour.

Been a non event here really. A torrential burst of rain earlier gave way to some strong winds that have continued, gusting around 40-50mph at times but nothing out of the ordinary

Still nowt here lol, expected some wind at least, it's felt like the calm before the storm all day, and very warm, with this SE wind direction. It might be light but it's still carrying warmth from the south with it.

Breezy here, we've had a few light showers.

Nearest MetO station, a couple of miles away, at Almondsbury, now only forecasting gusts of 32mph over next few hours.

To be fair, the forecast was for 40mph gusts here over the last few hours, including now. It's absolutely nowhere near that.

Similar here, definitely not touched even 30 I reckon. It's been really nice and strangely warm, but with the fact the wind comes from a warm continent, that's not surprising. Just thinking about the forecast I watched earlier lol, promising there'll be less wind about tomorrow, it was the general one. Was sitting there thinking, what about the low crossing the SE tomorrow.

24 mph here

Haven't checked, but probably similar here, seems like there's more wind behind the cold front. Think those north of me should be watching the occluded front crossing the UK now. Think that is acting like a cold front normally does, winds will die down behind it.

Actually I think it's a warm front.

Yep was just looking at radar and thought it hasn't moved north yet, think people who think nothing is happening yet, that are in the warning, just haven't actually been hit by whatever their worst will be yet.
