No sun for me. Which is weird as there is some blue sky but it doesn't seem to be coming out. Still clouds around. But it's winter and more importantly it's 2023 so what do I expect ...

It's looking like the deep cold chill gripping the continent is coming to an end. And what replaces it? Rain of course, because nature thinks we need more of that.

The weekend looks cloudy to my eyes at the moment - not really my favourite weather type, as I was planning a few photography trips later this week.

Think it's the problem with drier periods in winter nowadays, generally it's a cloudy feed from the Azores, whilst it used to be a dry feed from the continent.

A pleasant afternoon out there, just about touched 10°C. Felt more like a chilly day in the middle of spring, just that the sun is much lower and once it's about to set feels much colder again.

Best weather in winter is often from slight westerly winds with a mobile pattern, rather than high pressure sat almost on top of the UK which brings low cloud around the anticyclone.

Carrying on the trend of cloud in your area whilst others have sun. Alas.

Pleasant enough today. Light breeze. Fair amount of cloud. Not desperately chilly. Had today and tomoz off. Nice day to get the final fall of leaves off the lawn.  Cleaned the lawnmower up. Sprayed a bit of WD40 round it. Keeps it ready for March when it revs in to action again! Cut a few branches back from the years growth. Enjoyable day keeping busy !

Blimey. Starts coming back to life Feb if it's mild here. Been occasions when it's been in action early doors. I remember a mild winter think it was 2011/2012 and had the mower out in late Jan !

What a woeful table..!

Interesting though that the dullest and sunniest places on it are both in the SW though.

Anyone with any recommendations for a home weather station?

Difficult to answer that due to a lot of factors. If you have a budget, It'd be easier to narrow something down for you..
