If it keeps that up until smarch, you might get a dusting

I love your "gallows type humour" in these situations, Lass.

Sat in the car in Eastbourne and light sleet/snow in the air. Bearing in mind this is right on the south coast if it can snow here it can snow anywhere.

Does anyone have a heads up for prospects later on? Would be nice to see some heavier stuff arrive, and maybe even settle, once it gets dark.

If you believe what you read in the MOD thread then from the 15th of January onwards a new ice age cometh and probably goweths a week later lol

If we are to get any settling snow don’t think it will be till 1-2pm in the areas I mentioned last night(SE London NW Kent, east Surrey and Sussex).Colder air is approaching and shower activity seems to be strengthening. That said we are only looking at 1-3pms so not exactly disruptive 😂😂

Strange, I'm right on the river Medway and the snow a short while ago settled immediately. No marginality whatsoever!

My road is notorious theres been times when both Medway and Dartford had settling snow even half of Gravesend but right here on the river zilch!

Had a heavy graupel (??) downpour if it can be classed as that earlier. Seeing lots of stuff on radar. Hopefully that comes through around 2pm for my walk home from work. Love walking in snowfall

But anyway im working outdoors in Dartford later ironically a better chance of seeing it there like December last year when we did have a bit at mine but less than there and the other side of Gravesend had!

What's it like in Broadstairs? My Uncle has just recently moved there. Bit jealous as it's dry as a bone here up in Leicester and doesn't look like we'll get anything 🤣

Just had a flurry of a snizzle-snowflake mix here in Ashtead Surrey.... and now stopped again! As @Hotspur62 and others have pointed out - a Round 2 and colder air with it looks good in a couple of hours!!🤞☃️

Just hoping and waiting that precipitation can move its way toward me. It’s heading this way so hopefully we can get some snow from it!

Graupel quickly turned to snow here and  intensified, readily settling. Not expecting a huge amount but lovely to see! Radar exploded the past hour or so

😂 Is anyone managing to get any work done in the whole of the south east? I'm working full time just keeping up with the posts here

I work split shifts; I'm at home until 2pm then back to work on my bike up some hills.:cold-emoji:

Better that than the recent deluge I suppose. Will take cold and sunny over the rain.
