The flood barriers are up in Bewdley, but I think we'll just about avoid them being needed in anger. Another really wet week ahead and we'd be in trouble, though, and the ground is so sodden that it won't take much to bring the levels back up. As I've said ad nauseam this autumn, a dry winter is my number one weather desire this time around. It's a bigger deal than the temperature for me.

Agreed AH….it must be horrendous in looking at foreseeable EWP forecasts

Cold conditions most of the time brings HP….well most of the time 🙏👍

Anyone else seen that afterglow sunset? Looked amazing and lasted for quite a white after the sun had set!

Nothing very festive on offer this week, strangely mild and probably another pelting of rain on Tuesday.

Yep, the worst type of December weather, mild and damp. I really loathe this weather set up. The 'relaxation' since the last cold spell has lasted long enough, time for something seasonal please!

Absolutely beautiful here today, actually feels warm in the sunshine. If it's not going to be cold, I'll take this any day!

I'm not sure where you're seeing this, it just looks like a typical wet and grim day to me.

Another wet morning seems likely, considering they said last night it'd be a dry day, it's pretty poor. However, another stunning sunrise this morning, with a rainbow of things to finish it off. Anyone know why the sunrise and sunset have been quite vibrant recently? Bit of dust in the atmosphere or something to do with the recent solar storm?

As there's been high pressure just to our south, has also meant that high cloud has also been in a good position to be illuminated by the setting sun to give that lovely afterglow colour, similar with sunrise this morning. I usually look at meteociel satellite to see if sunset will be good with more in the way of high cloud. Couldn't catch it this morning but some stunning photos from others i've seen!

This is the worst wind we have had in years. Its so bad out there surprised this is not a worse warning. Way worse than those named storms in recent years.

Quite strong wind today, knocked down the garden fence here. Neighbours gazebo has been broken by the wind.

Also saw some nacreus clouds earlier after college, not the best of pics but hopefully can catch a couple more soon. Interesting day nonetheless.
