A pretty windy day here, but nothing that out of the ordinary for the time of year. Windiest before dawn, so by mid-morning it was just a blustery, mild winter's day - the temp is in double figures even now. Certainly nothing like the 70-80 mph gusts a couple of folks here have had!

The relatively dry weather over the past few days has been an absolute godsend, in that the river is now quite a bit down and in no immediate danger of flooding. The ground being so wet means that could change quickly with a very wet week, but it's respite for the moment.

The dross weather continues. What is this - Spring, Autumn...? One third of winter almost gone, and no sign of anything seasonal...just depressing mild and grey. Not much fun atm.

Incredibly mild out there this morning, one could almost say 'warm'! Not good at all...

Mildest Christmas eve for over 131 years back home, which I jokingly somewhat predicted back in August in another thread.

Absurdly mild here, maxing out at 14.1 °C. My own mildest Christmas Eve on record. Not exactly seasonal, but at least something noteworthy. The actual weather conditions weren't, though: grey, overcast and drizzly pretty much all day, with some heavier rain this evening.

Still, a Merry Christmas to all my fellow Midlanders!

Significant rain, currently. Outside temp gauge broken due to gusty conditions midday.

Wow wasn't expecting that, haven't seen or heard anything, could have been some distant flashes but wasn't looking, still some strong echo's on the radar so ill keep a look out as it passes in case it spits out one or two more sparks.

Squall passing by now, almost passed. Bar a bit of heavy rain in Willenhall.

Looks like a fence panel inspection session tomorrow, here at also at my Bro's too as he's in sunny climates in the Med.

Yeah a short burst of hail here too, could hear it hit the roof from inside. Also sounded like it almost put the windows through as the wind got pretty wild with it. Very strange weather. Looks like the lightning stopped as it got to the central midlands and then started again in the East Midlands.

Windiest night I have ever experienced on the boat(15 years)....had to completely close stove down, and have had a thermal roof hatch ripped off roof.

It was the violent individual gusts that have been different, luckily, I tied extra lines to secure boat 2 days ago!

Walking to work in Willenhall this morning. Lidl have lost a lot of fence panels.
