I was expecting today to be the worst day of the week with overcast skies - but it's turned out to be a lovely day with long sunny spells and a current high of 18C.

 Metwatch we're on 19mm here, but 17mm of that fell during yesterday evening's thundery downpours.

 Stabilo19 could approach the mid 20's on Thursday. 23c seems likely.

Warm day here despite the breeze and patchy cloud, looks to be getting significantly better over the next few days. Beyond that, I've seen mention of thunderstorms. I don't think I've seen thunderstorms in May before.

21c in Exeter, highest temperature so far this spring, now this is more like spring  😊

With a slightly northerly drift, sheltered areas on the south coast should top out today, hence the Isle of Wight, Exeter and Bouremouth sitting top of the temperature charts. 

20c in London at the mo, so not too far off.

Well with the pleasant weather out come the insects. I managed to get bitten smack in the middle of the bridge of my nose and now look like Rudolf. The other thing at this time of year I like a meticulous detail of the car, so did it yesterday. Washed twice, polished and then waxed, about 4 hours work. Naturally the birds are aiming on purpose, I have no doubt about it it's attracting them from as far away as Siberia, might be the fact they can see a reflection, or they don't like people showing off.
