Arctic HareNot what we got here, sadly. We almost never get classic "sunshine and showers" weather in a southwesterly here, due perhaps to the exceedingly damp air coming straight off the sea forming low cloud which restricts the insolation.

Almost invariably classic showery weather comes from a straight W-ly, NW-ly or N-ly.

However I have occasionally visited the Midlands and northwest and notice southwesterlies seem to be "drier" there, due to the Welsh uplands removing much of the damp and clag.

A brief spell of good weather coinciding with much of the hours of darkness (around 10pm - 9am), but it did manage to produce a slight ground frost, which is something.

Clag already piling in again now, resuming the joint-worst March of my lifetime (with two others, one of which I can't remember that well), thus far.

Lovely morning but won't last, I see. Anyways, loving the sunshine even more because there's so little of it.  The mildness is very much appreciated too.

Decent walk last night - some fresher air moved in so was quite nice. Sunny here today, but not overly mild near 8C at the moment. Hopefully warmer later.

Decent day so far, lots of sunny spells and feeling warm in the sun. Clouding up later but should stay dry here until late this evening.

Another grey wet day, honestly this is becoming like a sick joke now. We have had more than our fair share of all this cloud, enough already.

I hope we get out of this pattern soon, we must be due a very long spell of cloudless sunny skies and at this point I won’t mind even if it’s chilly that’s how desperate I am

Met Office is now forecasting a load of bullcrap in their 2 week forecast. They are going from the rest of the month being dry, to just 2 days being dry and the rest of March probably being a washout

Do we ever get warm and sunny NW-ly's like we sometimes do for Easterlies???? Maybe Friday could be the closet to one

10c, grey, gloomy. Feels colder than 10c.

2 weeks today, since returning from the Caribbean. I need sun and real warmth again.

We do here on the south coast in the summer, long land track.

Fridays forecast looks like the kind of day we would expect from Easterlies at this time of year. Warm-ish, Sunny, Windy after a Cloudy morning

Nice this morning but as expected it clouded over by midday.

Apart from mid-January I don't think we've had a fully clear day since September.

reef Not had a clear day since January 26th. February 24th was the "closest" to a clear day but that seen clouds here and there from noon onwards

Before then, we actually had a lot of clear days in November

Few days in Toruń, Poland.

As expected, sunny periods, about 15 degrees and not bloody windy.

Nice to be 1,000 miles away from the sodding Atlantic Ocean and its muck.

Yes, and straight W'lies too, though somehow this winter it's managed to rain in almost any setup!

May 8th for 10 days, to Fuerteventura👍😎

A "balmy" 32C for inland parts of the Island at the moment, would be a dream to be there right now. Looks some rain for them next weekend though.

Another day of relentless fog and drizzle and 12c, you'd think it was November.

Thought March 2023 would be the worst March for a loooong time but..... 2024 is sure having a good go at it!
