Drove back through a hailshower around a hour ago, was loud in the van!

Weak mammatus cloud passed just now, my Brother who was near Shrewsbury got the better end of the clouds at 3pm

We had many kinds of weather types today - wind, rain, hail and right now it is sunny.

Been some proper convection today - had a lovely matured cell to the east pass by a few moments ago. And a lovely rainbow too!

No hail here but some awesome cloudscapes later this afternoon as those showers arrived through the city with all photos posted in the convective thread:

Just a few thoughts on tomorrow looking at possible hail again and maybe storms. The low over Ireland, in what this post is about.

Using the Netweather Extra 48 hr aka Short Range.

I hope these are in chronological order.

Some super cloudscapes will be on offer.

nobble yes, time of year now where every airmass can feel cold, sure it wouldn't feel this cold off a S/SW'ly in Dec/Jan, at least not at low levels

Another very mixed day today that I'd be perfectly okay with in late March if it weren't for the stupidly wet weather we've had for months. Sharp showers (just rain here), gusty winds but also some sunshine. Chilly yes, but not that bad when the sun was out.

Hmm. Looking at the amount of snow down in the West country, I wonder what awaits us here later in the night?

So, after a night when I could hear the rain lashing against the window (again!), by the time I left for work at 0630hrs...it was actually quite a nice morning! Good light, more and more blue in the sky...sure, a bit nippy, but nothing outrageous...the type of Spring morning that I recall from my youth! A nice start to the day weather-wise, locally. Let's see how it pans out...

Definitely nice to wake up to this morning. Still a lot of blue sky and sunshine about now. Despite feeling chilly feels like a proper Spring morning, which is good to see. A chance of some showers, possibly with hail and thunder later (which is at least at lot more exciting than grey, general, prolonged spell of rain or drizzle).

Still be nice to see some proper settled warmer weather break out at some point. Make countryside walks become more of a joy so wouldn’t need to walk in lots of mud and puddles all the time. 😅  Just a shame the models look uninspiring at the moment for settled, warmer weather, bar perhaps the odd drier day or two, particularly later into the Easter weekend. Surely, the models would get to a point where they just couldn’t get any worse in terms of unsettled and Low Pressure dominated conditions (am looking at you, Northern blocking) that some better runs for less unsettled conditions would start showing up. Just some teases of High Pressure building strongly over Europe and into the UK would be nice, lol, that would then hope becomes a reality.

Midlands Ice Age Hi Midlands Ice Age, hope you’re doing well.

Been a hectic few months, so just went into hiding for a while.

Solihull sunshine shield looks to have powered up for the moment, but hopefully will break again later into the afternoon, maybe still with the chance of a few storm shields exploding! 🧨

Beautiful start to the day, now more 'typical Springlike', changeable...and it's sure chilly under the showers!

Had a terrific hailstorm in Bedworth.  1cm+ hail, it was scary and you could hear it coming form a mile away!!
