Mainly light snow here since about 0630, average depth is 4.5cm which is nothing to get too excited about in this part of the world but I'm grateful for small mercies.

I'm reasonably confident we'll get considerably more on Saturday morning.

T.M

exactly 4.0cm more than I had briefly TM!

Has been a day of intermittent light snow here in Burton, but we had a heavy fall here around teatime, total snow far, about 1 inch.

Currently still snowing lightly.

In the centre of Bristol there was no settling snow, in the suburbs there was about 2cm and further into the countryside there was at least 5cm but not as fun as 26th-27th February 2004. The snow was all gone by this afternoon as showers turned back to hail and sleet.

Coventry had continuous snow from around 4am to 7pm today. We had about 2-3 inches settle this morning. It did start to thaw around 11am but still lying due to the fact that it kept snowing for so long. Its clear now and the roads look like they are icing up.

Well in Leicester it snowed all day but I have to say we didn't get 10mm let alone 10cm. All the paths and roads are clear and it felt like a rainy day really - quite a disappointment.

Very icy outside here and all the paths have around a cm of snow on them from this evenings persistant light snow. The side streets have a dusting but are very shiny with black ice. Not bad for 330ft asl. Pretty bad higher up

Wow. I feel soooo jammy. Just having a fairly heavy snow-shower from the north sea now. Back up to a 1cm covering.

It'll melt tommorow though by daylight.

Snow fall totals 5cm yesterday with mostly light snow falling from 6am yesterday to 8 pm.

Temp peaked at minus 0.5c at 9pm yesterday and down to minus 2c this morning.

Hazy this morning - could be interesting later today when the next weather system arrives from the south west.

Snow started falling here at about 8:30am. Good steady stuff, not settling too well though.

Opened the curtains this morning to find that it was snowing, not settling to well at the moment on the ground where the snow has melted from yesterday, but building out from where the snow is still lying.
