Wasn't able to get online yesterday, but Merthyr had 5in max (I don't care about the reports that said 4in was the deepest). Snowing pretty heavily this morning, settling on all surfaces and there were some huge flakes earlier. About 3cm of fresh snow so far.

Disappointingly we had a slow thaw of snow last night here in Lichfield. The 3in of snow is now down to 1in and slushy. Forecast temps were -3c last night but min here was 1c  . Currently 1c, cloudy, misty but no precipitation of any kind yet.

About 3 - 4 inches in my back garden in Mkt Harborough yesterday - the most I've seen since I moved there in 1997. Freezing rain yesterday evening and freezing fog this morning with temps at -3. Drive 15 miles north to Leicester and no fog, +1 and dwindling snow. Amazing what a difference 120 extra feet above sea level makes

Been snowing lightly here on and off since about 6.30 this morning. A little bit of settling on roofs, cars and bins.

Yesterday's small fall had been rained away by lunchtime.

Had thundersleet this morning in Peterculter, 7 miles inland from Aberdeen,

started sleeting heavily about 7am then there was a huge flash and thunderclap,

took half the power out in the village :-)

Miserable weather here today - cloudy, cold (2c) with a few sleety bits falling from the sky. A few traces of yesterday's snowfall left - my miniature snowman has lost his head and arms and is now just a triangular clump of snow.

Wow, it's snowing here too, has been for the past hour or so, settling nicely and the sky looks full of it, hope it doesn't turn to rain. Big surprise too, don't think it was forecast for here, was it?
