Temperature has risen from -1c - 0c in the past half an hour here just outside St. Helens Merseyside and the dewpoint is now at -4 down from -2 in the past hour and half. Wind is SSE at 9 km/h. I'm hoping the temperature drops slightly before the front arrives, or indeed if it does push this far North.

Looking at the radar and it looks huge! Surely all this ppn couldn't have died away by the time it gets to Lincs can it?!

Yeh it sure can die away hehe, seen it enough times :) its the with rain from the west were sheltred by the penines, which takes all the intensifty out of the precip before it pushes over us, all we can hope for us the interaction with the colder air over us and out to the north sea.

Good luck :)

Then does that mean that the snow probably won't arrive in Bristol until around 3am? If so, the temperature should get low enough as there seem to be holes in the cloud.

Temperature has risen here by 0.3°C in the last hour.

Surely that means snow is on the way?

Temp now is -0.8°C

Dropping again now to -0.9°C

I guess it's too early yet for snow, and temp may drop again.

Time to hear from people with snow reports. The radar shows it over me.

Hows it looking?

Nothing here anyway, and there is a definite feel of a temp rise outside...my only temperature gauge is the car which reads 4c :) Dont know how accurate they are though. I think I can forget it but you are on high ground?

Steve - According to XCweather Gravesend is at -3 which is pretty shocking since it has a reputation as being a bit of 'mild-spot'. So I'm guess my temp is anywhere from around -3.5 to -2. That mild air is coming in pretty quick from the west, which is quite worrying. . . .

Pretty sure the malvern hills will be very badly hit. Probably one of those areas reaching top end of 15cm.

Hi love-it and Blizzards! Good to know there some others local to me on here. There used to be another guy from Upton on Severn but I can't remember his name! love-it keep your eyes peeled as you rightly say you will be hit first! Snowdrift if it is as bad (or good!) as they forecast then I suspect the Malverns will be packed with sledgers! Are you sure you can't get there?! The NW 5min radar shows pink blobs over me at the moment but lamppost watch has proved negative..going to be a long night.... :)

Paul Hudson on Look North just now said that a band of snow, which could be patchy in nature, will push northwards through Lincolnshire in the morning and reach all of the region by the afternoon, could bring 2-3inches, especially in south Lincolnshire and on the Wolds.

Yup a none event. I'm expecting a slight dusting from this. See Plenty of disappointed kids. Still it could move further North than predicted.

Its been doing that all the time for some reason. It won't head North like that, Its going in a NE direction at the moment.

I think the wind might be tricking the rader because the wind is SE so the rader may think the PPN heads North which is clearly not the case!

Do you think the south coast (Brighton) will see ANY snow at all before it turns to rain? I'm bracing myself for a very disappointing night.

I'm in Gravesend. Temp is reading Minus 3 in my garden so it could be a bit cooler still away from the buildings.
